      In their second adventure, Simon Bloom and sidekicks branch out from physics to biology, absorbing DNA they'll need to save the universe from vengeful Sirabetta. The story moves along at a gleeful pace, with the spotlight less on the self-aware omniscient narrator and more squarely focused on wacky hijinks and creative, pseudo-scientifically explained inventions (e.g., nose-propelled flight).
