Offering practical assistance with staining disasters, Soto, author of a number of sewing books (including "Simplicity's Simply the Best Sewing Book"), exhibits her expertise with fabrics and fibers. The meat of this guide is a long list of spills arranged by their main component. Included are step-by-step instructions using conventional cleaning agents as well as traditional cleaning with baking soda and vinegar, among other products. The only disadvantage with such a long list of staining ingredients is that some of the solutions tend to be repetitive. Final chapters cover stain prevention and treatment of heirloom fabrics. All in all, a very practical guide with realistic advice; recommended.
